Brian Gehlhausen
Vice President / Engineering Manager
My journey with Spencer Industries began in the summer of 1994 when I worked as a production employee during my summer break from college. The following two summers I was an intern in the Engineering Department. These three summers gave me a good foundation for the thermoforming and assembly processes that we use, and I have not stopped learning since. I started my official career with Spencer Industries upon my graduation from college in 1997. We have improved our processes immensely over the past 20+ years, and with the group of employees we have accrued I don’t see it stopping in the future.
My experience at Spencer Industries includes time spent in the Manufacturing Engineering Department, Supervision of the shop floor, Assembly Department Management, Project Engineering Management, Maintenance Management, and now Engineering Department Management as well as Vice President. I have enjoyed every step and have built great friendships with my fellow employees along the way.
My wife Tina and I feel blessed to have been able to raise our three kids in this part of the country. We love the small town life and all the benefits that come with it. I am an avid sports fan, and passionate about my teams, especially my alma mater – Purdue University. I love to talk sports, my favorite is baseball. Away from work I enjoy doing anything outdoors including hunting, fishing, hiking, playing softball, or watching the kids play baseball, volleyball and tennis. I volunteer regularly at our church and with my Knights of Columbus Council. I have served two terms on our local school board as well. We truly enjoy giving back to our community.
